our FIRST EVER GRANT ROUND IS HERE!
The Channel is seeking expressions of interest from individuals and organisations who need funds to support their vision of growing representations of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and sex characteristics in Australian culture - the arts, media and beyond.
We’re looking for considered and BRAVE applicants whose projects push public perception and awareness in a positive direction through just and genuine portrayals of identity and experience.
The Channel will be giving away two grants. Both grants will be guided by the overarching theme of BRAVE REPRESENTATIONS.
THE HAMPTON GRANT:
is available to individuals and non-charitable organisations.
THE Haring Grant:
is available to charitable organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient status type 1 (DGR1).
Eligible Haring applicants must be charitable organisations with DGR1, and a turnover of less than $1 million in FY16.
Eligible Hampton applicants may be individuals, groups, charitable or non-charitable organisations. Eligible Hampton applicants DO NOT require DGR1, but must have had a turnover of less than $1 million in FY16.
All projects must be fully conducted within Australia and be for Australian LGBTQIA+ community benefit.
We will look favourably upon projects that are:
BRAVE - willing to take a risk / push the envelope / agitate for change / get way outside the comfort zone!
lead by members of LGBTQIA+ communities;
working to benefit groups within LGBTQIA+ communities that are particularly underrepresented and experiencing multiple forms of disadvantage (CALD, ageing, living in remote areas etc.);
working in areas that are particularly under-funded.
We are not open to funding:
Projects that benefit an individual;
Debt reduction or operational deficits.
We are open to funding:
