ABOUT GIVEOUTDAY »

Inspired by the success of the US concept, giveOUTday AU is a national day of giving to LGBTIQ+ communities.

Although we’ve achieved marriage equality in Australia, this is only one step towards true equality, and LGBTIQ+ causes remain seriously underfunded in Australia (we checked the stats: https://www.ourcommunity.com.au/innovationlab/LGBTIQ+funding).

With over $35k set aside to match donations dollar for dollar, giveOUTday is here to shift the dial on funding to LGBTIQ+ communities. This is your opportunity to donate to the LGBTIQ+ causes you care about most and have your impact doubled.

https://giveoutday.org.au » Stand with LGBTIQ+ communities » 18 April 2019

-----------------------

giveOUTday is a project of Australia’s first LGBTIQ+ giving circle, The Channel—a sub-fund of the Pride Foundation Australia.

With thanks to our partners—Perpetual, The Royals, The Reichstein Foundation, Joy 94.9 FM, Our Community’s Innovation Lab, AE Creative, Australian Communities Foundation, Raisely, and The Masto Foundation.

Philanthropy in the Pub

Philanthropy in the Pub is for people who are seeking to create social change and explore how to maximise their own personal social impact. The success of our Sydney events, has led us to launch our first Melbourne event and we are very excited!

Philanthropy in the Pub is a place to discover new ways of giving and learn from those who are experienced in philanthropy. The event provides opportunities to network and explore the many facets of engagement and giving for social change.

This event is designed for those who are seeking a personal social conscience/philanthropic journey rather than those who are only working in the philanthropic industry.

Our next session will be around collective giving – the coming together of individuals to jointly fund social change through scaled impact.

Our Q+A style panellists consist of inspiring experts, including: Georgia Mathews, Rikki Andrews, Andrea Heffernan
